Are you willing?

Here at Dalton Greater Works, we’re committed to providing food, meals, and clothing as well as other necessities in life to those in need in our community.  Nothing is charged for what we provide, all are welcome and none are turned away.  All of us at Dalton Greater Works are passionate about serving our community and helping others and we’re are always looking to grow our team of volunteers: many hands make light work!  We are actively looking for volunteers of all kinds; whether you can come once a week, once a month or once a year – we need you!  What does it mean to volunteer?

“You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you.”- John Bunyan

We have many ministries operating: our food pantry, our kitchen (meals), our clothing ministry and others.  Sometimes we get groups of one-time volunteers coming to lend a hand (those usually need to be scheduled to maximize the effort).  We have dedicated weekly and daily volunteers to attend to the needs of the Dalton greater community; however, we are in need of more like-minded people.  Have you been struggling to find a place to give back?  Have you felt called to help those in need but didn’t know how?  Come to Dalton Greater Works and ask, we have ample opportunity to put you to work and you’ll be glad you did!

Our greatest need for volunteers is in our clothing ministry which operates every Tuesday evening from 4:30 to 6:00pm and Sunday mornings from 7am to 9am.  The clothing ministry provides clothing for any in need and we need more volunteers during these times to help assist people through the clothing department so that we can help as many people as we can.  In addition, we often need assistance “behind the scenes” to process donations to the ministry and hang them on the racks.  Please call in to Dalton Greater Works or simply come in during these times and ask someone how you can help.

Helping to clothe families!

If you’ve thought about helping out, talked about it or prayed for it – now is the time to act.  This is your call to action, come see what you can offer, I promise you the blessing is in the giving!
